Only 6 of 15 cleaners near you post a price, and the holiday deep-clean rush starts in five weeks

Hi Sample team,

Here's what homeowners see when they compare cleaners in your area right now, and where you can stand out before Thanksgiving.

Baseline week: this is our first snapshot of your market. Prices are what each company posts publicly, not quotes. From next week on, we'll flag what moved. Anything we couldn't verify is marked [Unverified].

🔑 The week in one line

Of 15 cleaning companies we track, only 6 post their own prices. The rest say "get a quote." The posted standard clean starts at about $105–$150, and a deep clean at about $220, so a homeowner who wants a number in 30 seconds only has six places to look.

💲 Pricing: who shows a number

  • Standard cleans: posted starting prices run about $105 (weekly, small home) to about $150 (one-time, 2–3 hours). A franchise location prices by size: $130–$210 weekly and $135–$230 every two weeks for homes up to 1,500–3,000 sq ft.
  • Deep cleans: two companies start at about $220 (3–4 hours).
  • Move-in/move-out: $210–$360 by home size at one company; from about $280 at two others.
  • Full rate card: one owner-operated company publishes every combination (home size × weekly / bi-weekly / monthly / first-time / move-out), plus +$20 per extra bathroom and add-ons (inside fridge $35, inside oven $35, laundry $20 a load, pet hair $25). It's the easiest page in the market to say yes to.
  • A cost guide, not a price: one commercial-leaning company publishes a city "what cleaning costs" guide ($0.10–$0.15/sq ft standard, $0.20–$0.30 deep) and says recurring service saves 10–20% per visit.
  • Booking-quiz bands: one company shows price bands from $150–$250 up to $450–$550 after a short quiz and promises a reply "in less than 10 minutes."

What it means for you: Posting even one honest "starting at" number for a standard and a deep clean puts you in the top half of the market for transparency. Add-on prices (fridge, oven, laundry) answer the questions that stall bookings.

🎁 Holiday offers are already up

  • One company has a Thanksgiving Special on its homepage ("guest-ready" cleaning, "spots may be limited").
  • One sells holiday gift certificates for new customers: 3, 4 and 5 hours at about $110, $150 and $190 (normally about $140, $190 and $230), roughly 17–22% off, redeemable through Dec 31, 2026. Its page is still headed "2025 Holiday Special."
  • First-clean discounts: $25 off your first clean (pop-up at one company); an annual subscription "save 30%" at another.

What it means for you: Thanksgiving is Thu Nov 26. Homeowners book pre-holiday deep cleans 2–3 weeks out, so a dated offer posted by Nov 6 catches the first wave. Gift certificates are the December play: they sell to people who aren't your customers yet.

⭐ Reputation: a few big review bases, then a long tail

  • Review counts shown on companies' own sites range from about 30 to "1,000+"; the franchise location shows about 740 reviews at 4.7. Two local companies show about 140–160. [Unverified: own-site widgets, Google not read directly]
  • One company claims "more 5-star reviews than any other cleaning company" locally and a multi-year "best of" streak. [Unverified]
  • Guarantees are rare: one company offers a 24-hour re-clean guarantee; one charges a $50 same-day cancellation fee (and says so).

What it means for you: You won't out-count the leader this season, but a clear guarantee ("not right? we come back within 24 hours") is something only one rival says out loud.

👷 Hiring: three companies are recruiting

  • Three companies show "Now Hiring" or "Join Our Team" links ahead of the holiday season.

What it means for you: Cleaners have options in November. If you're hiring, post pay and schedule up front.

🚀 Your strategic moves this week

1. Post two numbers. A "standard from" and a "deep clean from" price. Only 6 of 15 do.

2. Put up a dated Thanksgiving deep-clean offer by Nov 6. One rival already has one; most don't.

3. Offer holiday gift certificates. Price them in hours, like the market does, and set a clear redeem-by date.

📈 The bottom line

Most cleaners here make homeowners ask for a price. The company that shows its price, names its guarantee and has a holiday offer up first will get the November calls.
